Biography

I am Vahit Mutlu. I was born in Erzincan Aydoğdu village in 1982. I completed my primary and secondary education in Erzincan. I started my university education at OMU Faculty of Medicine. After a 1-year English preparatory period, I completed my 6-year medical school education. I got married just before I started my career. I am married, father of 3 children. After completing my medical school education, I was appointed to Erzincan Mengücek Gazi Training and Research Hospital as a general practitioner in 2013. I have served more than 44000 patient applications during my nearly 2 years of practice as a general practitioner. In 2015, I started as an assistant physician in the general surgery department of OMU Faculty of Medicine, which I graduated from. I have been in more than 6000 cases in my assistantship process that lasted more than 5 years. In this process, I discovered my interest in gastrointestinal surgery, hepatopancreaticobiliary surgery and bariatric surgery. After the resumption of liver transplantation in OMU medical faculty in 2019, I have performed around 40 harvesting and 20 cadaveric transplants.. I wrote my thesis on bariatric surgery. I have been working as a general surgery specialist at Tokat State Hospital since January 2021. I am proud to have achieved many firsts in the province of Tokat, where I was appointed as an expert. I have successfully carried out many cases that have not been done before in the province of Tokat. Whipple procedure, which is group A surgery, bariatric surgery and minimally invasive surgical procedures (gis, hepatobiliary, oncologic etc.) I have more than 5000 bariatric surgery and 1000+ laparoscopic abdominal surgery experience. I received many certificates of appreciation for my service and achievements from Cimer, Tokat Governorship, Tokat Provincial Health Directorate and Tokat State Hospital Chief Physician. I gave an interview to the local and national press about the cases I recently carried out. In addition, I started my application to the Guinness Book of Records for the world record with 14387 gallbladder stones from the patient I had laparoscopic cholecystectomy. In addition, I took part in many national and international scientific articles, oral presentations, posters and book chapters during the period of assistant and specialist medicine. I attended many scientific congresses, courses and seminars.

I am walking towards my goals in pursuit of my dreams.
