Prof Dr. Hüseyin Sinan

Dr. Hüseyin Sinan was born in 1971 in Besni, Adıyaman, and completed his early education in Istanbul. He embarked on his medical journey at the Gülhane Military Medical Academy, Faculty of Military Medicine, in 1990, graduating with distinction as a Medical Lieutenant in 1996.

Following his compulsory service in Şırnak, Dr. Sinan pursued specialization in General Surgery at Istanbul’s prestigious GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital from 1999 to 2003. His expertise in the field led to a tenure as a General Surgery Specialist at the Samsun Military Hospital, where he served from 2003 to 2008.

Dr. Sinan further honed his skills in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery as a Visiting Scholar and Research Fellow at the Washington University Centre for Videoendoscopic Surgery in Seattle, USA. His career continued to flourish upon his return to Turkey, with significant contributions to the Ankara GATA Emergency Medicine and General Surgery Departments, followed by a pivotal role at the Ankara Mevki Military Hospital.

In 2013, Dr. Sinan was appointed to the Van Military Hospital, where he excelled as chief physician for two years. His academic and professional excellence was recognized in 2014, when he was awarded the title of Associate Professor of General Surgery by the Inter-University Board.

Dr. Sinan’s commitment to surgical innovation led him to the Metabolic Surgery clinic in Istanbul, where he was involved in numerous surgeries over a span of two years, starting from August 2017. In December 2019, he was appointed as a professor at T.C. Rumeli University, marking a significant milestone in his distinguished career.

An esteemed scholar, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Sinan has contributed to the medical field through numerous international and national publications, book chapters, translations, and presentations. He has been an invited speaker and chair at scientific meetings around the world, showcasing his expertise and dedication to advancing surgical practices.

Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Sinan, fluent in English, is married and a father to two children. His career is a testament to his relentless pursuit of excellence and his contribution to the field of surgery.
